As parents of a baby born in April 2010, we have found nothing in the world to be more exciting, life-altering and fantastic than a newborn baby. As photographers, we are constantly chasing our passions and now that includes baby photography. Baby portrait sessions are relaxed, fun and totally custom to your family. We will come to you and bring everything we need for a posed shoot of your little bundle of awesome but during the shoot we ask that you open the natural surroundings of your home up to us (don't worry about the mess, we have the biggest one of them all!) We will find places around your home that speak to us and pose your little one accordingly. I'm having a baby! How soon should I schedule my shoot?
We suggest getting your estimated due date on our schedule as early as possible, these things are unpredictable, but it helps us to stay organized and not to over-book.
How do I schedule my session?
We can email you a contract to look over and sign. This contract + your payment = on our schedule. We then wait for your little ones arrival and ask that you let us know when he/she is born so we can then schedule you more solidly with a date & time.
I want my session to happen in the hospital, how does that work?
You call and tell us the big day has come and we will come to you at a time that is convenient, after mother and baby are settled in. If for any reason we cannot work out the hospital shoot while you are there, we will put the payment toward a session at home.
How long does a session last?
Each family and baby are different and we don't like to put a time frame on the creation of our art. We hope you will allow us to linger for a few hours during the sessions, to creatively use the environment and our array of props as well as things you wish to include from your own home. Hospital sessions are generally an hour or so, with home sessions lasting at least an hour and a half, or longer, depending on the wakefulness of the babe, feeding schedules and other factors.
What about the outdoor photographs on your page? I'd like to do something like that with my babe.
Portraits can be take outside, near the home and included on any session, at the discretion and supervision of the babe's parents. If you have a location in mind not near your home, let's talk about scheduling a session on-location.
Who can be included in a newborn shoot?
For the first newborn portrait session, anyone that resides in the home can be included. If you have requests for grandparents or other family/friends, we can make that happen at a separate shoot.
